Webinar on demand
Does your company offer employee shares as a way to motivate your people and build long-term loyalty? From 1 July 2026, this has become easier for many small and medium-sized businesses, as the favourable tax rules under Section 7P of the Danish Tax Assessment Act have been expanded.
Since the 2019 income year, employers have been required to report employee shares to eKapital, the Danish Tax Agency’s digital reporting system. Shares acquired in 2026 must be reported no later than 20 January 2027, and the deadline cannot be extended. Since 2025, it has also been possible to report on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
In this webinar, we go through the key areas of tax legislation and reporting that your company needs to be familiar with when offering employees the opportunity to invest in employee shares:
- The Tax Reporting Act, with effect from 2019
- Sections 16 and 28 of the Tax Assessment Act – the old rules
- Section 7P of the Tax Assessment Act
- Examples of different share programmes in practice
- Reporting in eIndkomst (eIncome)
- Reporting in eKapital
