Azets Delivers Advanced Logistics System on a Standardised Platform for Color Line
When managing 8,000 products across 7 vessels, you need a well-designed digital platform and, above all, an advanced logistics system. Color Line has achieved this with a solution implemented in partnership with Azets.
LS Retail, Microsoft Business Central, and the LS Central Franchise module combine to form a comprehensive logistics system
"The project's objective was to implement an entirely new digital solution across our fleet, covering both the payment system and the logistics behind it. The aim was to encompass all processes from product procurement right through to point of sale on board," explains Thomas Gudberg, Group Director at Color Line.
"The project was divided into two parts: one for vessel operations and another for logistics. Following a thorough evaluation of proposals, we selected the combination of LS Retail, Microsoft Business Central, and the LS Central Franchise module for our logistics system."
The project progressed steadily according to plan
"The plan was well structured, which is crucial in a multi-year project. Moreover, change management was handled skilfully, with next steps clearly explained. Because the team had previous experience in the maritime sector, they understood our needs," Thomas Gudbjerg notes.
"Any customisations required beyond the standard solution were handled efficiently. For instance, customs documentation requirements were expertly incorporated into our new system and their fulfilment ensured."
"We're extremely pleased with the collaboration, which continues through ongoing support and logistics development. It's crucial that there's a seamless connection between the on-board system and the logistics system," Thomas Gudbjerg concludes.
Solution deployed:
- LS Retail
- Microsoft Business Central
- LS Central Franchise module
- System based on BC/LS 18 web interface
