Azets Tax and Economic Conference 2024

Azets Ireland's "Shaping Success" Tax and Economic Conference featured insightful discussions from our speakers and panelists as well as a special appearance by a group of high performing young athletes.

We were delighted to host our annual Tax and Economic Conference, in the Shelbourne Hotel yesterday.
This year’s conference was titled Shaping Success and that theme ran throughout the evening. We were so pleased to welcome a group of high performing young athletes, including recent Four Nations winning under 18 basketballers Grace Prenter and Harry Scully (both also awarded MVP at the tournament), 800 metre runner Renee Crotty as well as welcoming back Munster Rugby’s Brian Gleeson.
The conference was a great opportunity to catch up with our clients and contacts, as well as offer insights on how to navigate the potential upcoming tax and economic challenges. Alma O’Brien, our Head of Tax, along with Catherine McGovern, Partner and Margaret Balfe, Director hosted an informative panel discussion on how businesses can prepare them themselves for prospective pitfalls.
Gerard Brady, Chief Economist with Ibec, gave a really interesting update on the economic outlook and the 3 things businesses should be aware of that are happening in the economy now.
Our final speaker was Enda McNulty, who is the ex-Armagh GAA football and CEO and Founder of McNulty Performance. Enda brought his high energy conversation on performance and leadership and brought everyone to their feet. It was a brilliant chat on how high performance in business and sport have many similar characteristics and how important they are in shaping success.
