Tax Manager - Tax Quality & Technical

This is a rare opportunity to exercise tax technical skills in a non-client facing role, supporting the wider tax practice:

• Supporting the firm’s Tax Risk Committee (TRC)
• Developing and monitoring risk management processes
• Collating and delivering tax news, both internally and externally
• Supporting internal training programmes

• Providing technical analysis and support for TRC on tax advisory projects and tax complaints
• Working with the central Legal & Compliance team to identify and communicate appropriate risk management procedures, including maintenance of the Tax Procedures Manual
• Identifying, writing and disseminating technical news to the tax practice, including liaison with specialist teams and the marketing department
• Assisting with the development of internal training, including general updates and specialist programmes

• CTA/ACA/ACCA/CA (or equivalent) qualified
• Experience in a technical role within a practice or training environment is essential. Mixed tax or corporate tax experience would be an advantage.
• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
