Azets, the international outsourcing, compliance, and advisory group, has appointed Paul Morrison as its new Group Chief Digital Officer (CDO).
A seasoned leader in digital, IT and business transformation, Paul has more than 30 years’ experience of building and leading talented teams to deliver better business outcomes at pace, with a focus on technology.
Paul joins Azets from Happence, a leading provider of mental wellbeing and resilience programmes, where he led the Product, Commercial and Psychology teams. Paul previously held senior positions at Compliancy Services Ltd and the Financial Conduct Authority.
As Group CDO, Paul’s focus will be to lead the delivery of Azets’ digital strategy through its next growth phase, having grown significantly over the past six years to become one of the largest tech-enabled providers of professional advisory, financial and accounting services to SMEs globally.
Paul Morrison, Group CDO at Azets, said: “I am delighted to be joining Azets, one of the industry’s fastest growing and most disruptive firms, to lead its digital strategy and shape the Group’s digital future. Digital transformation is high on the agenda of most boardrooms, and I am passionate about deploying digital technologies that will allow Azets and our clients to innovate and achieve step change business improvements.”
Vidar Bekken, Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Azets, said: “Effective Technology is one of the five key pillars that underpins Azets’ five-year Pathway strategy. Paul has vast experience, especially in transformation leadership and digital programmes, and I’m confident he will drive our digital agenda, identifying new and innovative ways to evolve our advisory services and enable us to make strategic data driven decisions to improve the lives of our clients, colleagues and communities.”
Azets appointed Claire Jepras as its new Group Chief People Officer (CPO) in July 2023, following the appointments of Roger Eigenheer as Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) in April 2023, Beth Crosier as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in February 2022, and Jeremy Fearnley as Group Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in January 2022.
In June 2023, Azets Group announced that PAI Partners, a pre-eminent private equity firm, has joined the business as a new investor alongside current owners Hg.
Paul’s appointment was supported by La Fosse Executive, which specialises in recruiting top leadership talent for companies going through high growth and transformative journeys.
