Azets expands into Northern Ireland

Azets acquires Muldoon; (L-R) Sean Muldoon, Neil Hughes, Raymond Tiffney, Robbie Barr

Azets expands into Northern Ireland

Azets has expanded into Northern Ireland following the acquisition of highly respected Belfast-based accountancy and advisory firm Muldoon.

Now into its fourth decade, Muldoon has built a strong reputation through long-standing client relationships, high-quality advice, and a people-first approach. The firm provides accounting, tax, audit and advisory services to more than 860 clients across a broad range of sectors.

The partnership strengthens Azets’ overall UK and Ireland offering and establishes a platform for further long-term growth in Northern Ireland.

Muldoon employs over 40 people and is led by Managing Partner Raymond Tiffney alongside Sean Muldoon and Robbie Barr, all of whom will remain with the business following completion of the transaction. Muldoon will immediately rebrand as Azets.

Raymond Tiffney, Managing Partner at Muldoon, said:

“This is an important and positive step for our business, our people and our clients.

Throughout this process, what mattered most to us was finding a partner that aligned with our culture, values and client-first approach. We believe we have found that in Azets.

Joining Azets gives us access to broader specialist expertise, deeper capability and increased investment, while preserving the relationships and local approach that define Muldoon today.”

Peter Gallanagh, UK & Ireland CEO at Azets, said:

“Muldoon is a highly respected business with a strong reputation, excellent people and deep client relationships.

This partnership strengthens our UK and Ireland business and establishes our first presence in Northern Ireland through a firm that shares our relationship-led approach, long-term mindset and commitment to clients.

We are delighted to welcome Raymond, Sean, Robbie and the wider team to Azets.”

The partnership brings together two culturally aligned, relationship-led businesses with a shared focus on supporting SMEs and owner-managed businesses through practical, commercially focused advice.

Clients will continue working with the same advisers and teams they do today, while benefiting from access to broader specialist expertise, increased scale and wider capability across the Azets business.
