Barton joined Azets in December 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in corporate tax for medium to large businesses.
Barton spent his first 10 years specialising in large corporates and international aspects of corporation taxes. Barton also gained experience supporting international groups with their international compliance and reporting.
His specialism is compliance for Corporation Tax at group level including Pillar 2 (multinational and domestic top up taxes), Corporate Interest Restriction, Senior Accounting Officer Certification and International Movements of Capital. Barton also has in-depth experience of tax accounting under FRS 102 and group consolidations reporting under IFRS, US GAAP.
Barton provides a supportive hand to help business owners, tax managers and tax directors minimise corporation tax liabilities. He has a long-standing history of successfully negotiating and dealing with HMRC, ensuring compliance while optimising tax strategies.
