Azets expands into Northern Ireland
Azets has strengthened its overall Ireland offering following the acquisition of highly respected Belfast-based accountancy and advisory firm Muldoon.
The partnership enhances Azets’ ability to support clients operating across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the wider UK through broader collaboration, connectivity and specialist expertise across the business.
Now into its fourth decade, Muldoon has built a strong reputation through long-standing client relationships, high-quality advice, and a people-first approach. The firm provides accounting, tax, audit and advisory services to more than 860 clients across a broad range of sectors.
Muldoon employs over 40 people and is led by Managing Partner Raymond Tiffney alongside Sean Muldoon and Robbie Barr, all of whom will remain with the business following completion of the transaction. Muldoon will immediately rebrand as Azets.
Raymond Tiffney, Managing Partner at Muldoon, said:
“This is an important and positive step for our business, our people and our clients.
As our clients’ needs continue to evolve, joining Azets gives us access to broader specialist expertise, deeper capability and increased investment, while preserving the relationships and local approach that define Muldoon today.
Finding a partner with strong cultural alignment and a shared client-first approach was critically important to us throughout this process.”
Neil Hughes, Ireland CEO at Azets, said:
“Muldoon is an excellent business with a strong reputation, talented people and deep client relationships.
This partnership strengthens our ability to support clients operating across Ireland, Northern Ireland and the wider UK through broader access to expertise, capability and specialist support.
There is a very strong alignment between our firms in how we support clients, develop our people and think about long-term growth, and we are delighted to welcome the Muldoon team to Azets.”
The partnership brings together two relationship-led businesses with a shared focus on delivering practical, commercially focused advice to SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
Clients will continue working with the same advisers and teams they do today, while benefiting from access to broader specialist expertise, increased scale and wider capability across the Azets business.
