The Increased Cost of Business (ICOB) grant has been extended

The ICOB grant is a once-off payment to help businesses cope with rising costs.

  • Eligible businesses receive the grant based on their 2023 Commercial Rates bill:
  • For businesses with a 2023 bill of less than €10,000, the grant is 50% of the bill.
  • For businesses with a bill between €10,000 and €30,000, the grant is €5,000.
  • Businesses with a bill over €30,000 are not eligible.

The closing date for eligibility confirmation was May 1, 2024 and this has now been  re-opened from 15 May to 29 May.

What’s Needed:

  • Details on the Company applying:
    • Nature of the business,
    • Employee Numbers,
    • Business Address and Eircode.
  • Customer Number and PIN (as provided on letters from Council/Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment).
  • Property ID (As seen on your Company’s Rates Bill).
  • A copy of your Company’s bank statement header dated within the last 3 months and showing Account Details. (Statement can be cropped to avoid showing transactions).
  • Tax Clearance Certificates may be requested.
