CoZone Employee - new design and functionalities
We are excited to launch a new and improved version of our HR tool for time and attendance reporting, CoZone Employee.
In this update we are launching flexible time reporting, which means that time reports no longer have to range from the beginning to the end of the month. They can be of almost any duration and are fully flexible and customizable to your business needs.

The background of why we have been focusing on improving the functionalities in CoZone Employee is based on the valuable feedback from our clients. Not all companies necessarily prefer to report per calendar month. We have understood that further flexibility is needed with the concept of periods, and we are now happy to announce that flexible time reporting is available and ready to make your workday easier. We promise that CoZone Employee will perform better, be easier to use and empower you to make the best fit for your business.
What is new?
You will notice a lot of changes in how CoZone Employee looks and also some improvements in how it works. Here are some of the many new functionalities you will find in CoZone Employee:
The timeline selector displays all of the employee’s time reports and you can easily see the report status and navigate between the periods by clicking on them. The easy to use calendar remains and now adjusts better to the contents of your time report.
The time report grid will automatically show you the time reports with color coding you need to act on as a manager. Just click on a report, review its details and approve! When everything is green, you know you have done your job. You can also check previously exported reports to know what has been processed in payroll.
Time reports no longer have to be a calendar month. It could be monthly, weekly, every second month or something else depending on your organization’s and payroll needs.
Instead of looking at a summary month by month, you can now select the timeframe you want to summarize the presence for, such as absence and transactions entries.
If it is required for you to close your time report by the end of the month, but the time report runs past the month, you can close a section of your time report and send it to be approved by your manager. In the calendar view, you can click and drag across multiple days to select the days in your time report you would like to close.
Instead of selecting a month to report period transactions to, we will suggest you the next available pay date to enter transactions to, ensuring all transactions will be processed in time for your next payroll.
The updated mobile app will display scheduled hours for working days and a better overview of vacation balances. For managers, the approval experience was streamlined to make their work effortless in approving absence requests and time reports.
Your data will be processed in payroll the same way as before, but with less limitations. Your consultants are able to export time reports, transactions and user changes independently of each other, making your work easier.
Frequently Asked Questions
The improvements to our user interface will be available to all users. If you are interested in a different time report duration, you can contact your consultant to find out more about your options.
For existing customers the changes will be made starting in October. For newly established customers, the features are already available.
We aim to implement all of these changes without any downtime and do not want to have any causes for unnecessary delays. Customers will be moved to the new system in batches to make sure we are prepared to handle any unforeseen issues. All of the changes have been thoroughly tested and have been used in production for several months.
CoZone Employee is built to be responsive and will adjust to different screen sizes. For the optimal experience on mobile devices, we recommend you to download our newly updated CoZone Employee app, available for both iOS and Android.
We are committed to ongoing development of the application. Many of the sections in the application have not yet been upgraded to our new design and are expected to receive a facelift in the future. You will have the opportunity to give us feedback through a feedback survey displayed to you within the application.
